Dear Traveller,
The arrival of Spring in Canterbury heralds a fresh new online look for Discover Travel as we celebrate our 25th year in business – our brand new website is now live and filled with lots of inspiring travel content. We hope you like it!
We’ve noticed a notable shift in Kiwi travellers wanting to travel outside of the usual European ‘peak season’ from June-August, with many of our clients now heading to Europe in May and over September – October. Of course, the Americas Cup taking place in Barcelona may be a factor this year (good luck to Team New Zealand!)
‘Earlybird’ fares for travel to Europe in 2025 are now being released, with the cheapest changeable return fares with Singapore Airlines to London starting around $2,600 in low season. Premium Economy return fares to London are starting from $6,149 and Business Class return fares from $9,279. Booking early is again recommended to secure the lowest fares. The majority of our clients flying long-haul tend to choose popular options like Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qantas and Air NZ + partners, but we’d recommend having a chat to one of our team to make sure you end up with the right airfare for your itinerary. Don’t fall into the trap of booking an airfare first and then planning the itinerary afterwards – always do it the other way round!
As flight networks continue to expand, stopover options are once again becoming more interesting, and it’s possible to create varied multi-stop itineraries. The traditional stopover points have always been Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Vancouver and New York. Why not consider somewhere different in 2025 like Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Seoul, Bangkok or even Johannesburg. Talk to us about ways to make your journey to or from Europe more fun with another holiday en route!
Now is a great time to be thinking about your cruise holiday in 2025 – the cruise industry continues to evolve apace and there’s now a seemingly bewildering array of operators to consider across all types of cruising. Whether it be ocean, river or expedition cruising or aboard large, medium or small ships; they typically offer great deals for booking early, so please contact us and we’ll guide you through the options.
The Discover Travel team continue to explore the world. Peter returned from the USA, Juliet is now back from her travels in Japan and Hong Kong and Janine is having the most amazing time in Borneo! Make sure you check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates from our travels and don’t forget to follow us for future updates.
