North America & Canada

The big tourist cities like Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York have long been popular with Kiwi travellers, and justifiably so – they’re a lot of fun!

We’d also recommend moving on beyond the typical tourist routes to obtain better value for money and more interesting experiences. Try a visit to isolated Alaskan towns or the National Parks of the Canadian Rockies. Explore the river towns along the Mississippi, drive Route 66, discover the wonders of America’s national parks or linger in cities like New Orleans, Memphis and Chicago that thrive with musical culture. The Great Lakes region is being discovered by Kiwis. The diversity of North America is pretty amazing; each US state or Canadian Province almost feels like a different nation!

Whilst the Kiwi Dollar doesn’t isn’t going quite as far as it used to in the US, it’s never been cheaper to fly to the USA or Canada than now, with unparalleled competition from the airlines really driving down airfares from NZ to North America.
