Kochi – Explore Fort Kochi, the oldest European settlement in India, with a mixture of English, Dutch and Portuguese influences
Immersive introduction to South Indian food – Try Sadya cuisine, a traditional thali lunch and delicious street food snacks
Backwaters houseboat – Stay on a traditional houseboat and float along the peaceful backwaters. Cook up a fish curry or vegetarian dish on board

Itinerary
Itineraries on some departure dates may differ.
- DAY 1 – Join trip in Kochi
- DAY 2 – Full day exploring Fort Kochi. Mattancherry Palace, Chinese fishing nets, Sadya lunch, harbour cruise and Kathakali performance
- DAY 3 – Breakfast dosa making demonstration. Drive to the spice and tea plantations to Munnar, experiencing a traditional thali lunch en-route
- DAY 4 – Full day in Munnar, visit the tea estates
- DAY 5 – Drive to Thekkady. Farm to plate spice garden tour
- DAY 6 – Homestay visit. Cookery class, village walk and toddy tapping demonstration
- DAY 7 – Board a houseboat and float through the backwaters. On board cooking demonstration
- DAY 8 – Morning in the backwaters, return to Kochi for lunch and a free afternoon
- DAY 9 – Trip ends Kochi
